Day to day

Welcome to the Alps, where on your first day, you’ll embark on the thrilling ride of conquering the renowned and lengthy Col de la Croix de Fer (29.1km – 4.6% – HC). But before reaching the summit, you’ll also tackle the challenging Col du Glandon. Take a moment to recover at the peak, all while being captivated by the breathtaking scenery. As you descend into the valley, your final challenge of the day awaits, the Pass de la Confession (14.1km – 5.8% – HC), one of the most picturesque and tranquil climbs in the region. Once you’ve reached the summit, savor the stunning valley views before descending the thrilling hairpin turns of Alpe d’Huez, leading you straight to your hotel. In the evening, explore the charming village and immerse yourself in the cycling ambiance while indulging in local cuisine.

Today’s ride takes you through another stunning Alpine valley towards the iconic Col du Galibier (8.5 km – 7.5% gradient – Cat2), famous in the Tour de France. Before tackling the Galibier, you’ll climb the manageable Col du Lautaret (34.2 km – 3.8% gradient – Cat3). We suggest refueling at the Lautaret summit before the short but steep Galibier ascent. After a rewarding descent, turn back for the final challenge of the day, Les Deux Alpes (8.6 km – 6.4% gradient – Cat2). Enjoy a thrilling descent back to your hotel in the valley to prepare for tomorrow’s Alpe d’Huez ride!”

Today, you have a single mission that will become a lifelong memory: conquering the legendary Alpe d’Huez (14 km – 7.9% – HC). Take your time to pedal through the valley, warming up properly before tackling this iconic ascent. Alpe d’Huez has been a staple in the Tour de France for nearly every year, and it’s so renowned that you’ll encounter fellow climbers throughout the entire climb, all the way to the summit! Compare your time with the pros at the official finish line, and celebrate your success at one of the village’s traditional bars or restaurants!
